We manage public schools in Nepal to transform the quality of education they provide to some of the country’s poorest children.

Public not private

We work with public schools, because they serve Nepal’s poorest children. We believe a successful public education system is the foundation of any nation’s development. We take on the entire management of the school because school improvement is complex, and demands a holistic, long-term commitment.

Teaching not buildings

We have a relentless focus on improving the quality of teaching. No school can be better than its teachers, and so we invest in intensive, personalised teacher coaching and curriculum development. Good infrastructure matters, but good teaching matters more.

Better not more

We work with existing public schools and their existing teachers, in partnership with local government. We believe you can only improve schools at scale by improving the existing workforce. The teacher’s salaries are already paid for by the government, so costs are low. We can leverage these existing funds to have far greater impact.
